申请新策｜美国大学2023年秋季入学申请政策更新

新一轮申请季即将开启，美国各个大学也陆续更新2023年秋季申请政策：

1. 南加州大学(USC) 首次新增EA(Early Action)申请批次，截止日期为2022年11月1日

2. 芝加哥大学(UChi)更新补充文书题目

3. 弗吉尼亚大学(UVA)更新补充文书要求，文书要求增多，字数要求减少，难度升级

南加州大学(USC) 新增EA(Early Action)申请批次

EA( Early Action) 的申请截止日期是2022年11月1日，早申录取的结果将在2023 年1月中旬左右公布。除此之外,USC 还表明，EA早申轮次中将有20-25% 的录取名额。虽然比例不高，但是EA 可以在来年提早锁定录取院校，依然对申请者们有很大的吸引力。

注：以下偏艺术的专业没有早申轮次

这是南加大首次增加早申(EA)轮次。南加大官网曾经一直明确强调“不会有早申批次“，现在已经被删除。原因可能是因为近两年名校申请人数激增，不少大学( 芝加哥，波士顿，弗吉尼亚等)都增加了提前批录取新生的比例。南加大为提前抢夺优秀生源，也无奈增加提前申请。

EA( Early Action) 不同于ED ( Early Decision ), 属于是非绑定性录取，学生在拿到EA offer 后依然可以选择去或不去。因此，在申请中，EA 几乎是每个学生都会考虑尝试的选项。

不仅如此，南加大的商科和传媒学科都非常有名，us排名27，是中国学生申请的热门学校，同时也有较高的申请难度。如果能在EA 提前录取，无论是对冲梦校的学生，还是作为保底校申请，都是不错的选择。

根据USC News 的统计，在2022年的申请中,USC共收到了69000份入学申请，总计发出8198份offer。录取率为11.9%，相比去年下降0.6%;此外，录取学生的平均GPA为3.91，达到历史新高。

南加大今年依然延续标化成绩可选的政策，但是预测2022 届将有超过50% 的学生选择提交标化成绩。数据显示，去年有47% 的申请者提交了标化成绩。

芝加哥大学(UChi)更新补充文书题目

芝加哥大学作为US排名第6的大学，也是中国学生申请的热门名校之一。芝加哥大学除了以低录取率闻名，同时每年的文书题目也极具特色。

芝加哥大学官网尚未公布2022年的录取数据，但是据统计，今年录取大陆学生40余人，依然给了不少牛娃们冲击前十的希望。在2021届的录取数据中，一共有37977名申请者，共录取2460名学生。整体录取率为6.5%，录取率呈逐年下降趋势。其中国际学生占比为19%，还是相对友好。

基于2025 届的录取数据来看，ACT 成绩的中位数在33-35 之间，SAT 成绩的中位数在1510-1560 之间。因此，对于国际学生来说，推荐申请者标化成绩达到ACT 34+ 或者SAT 1530+，会比较有安全感。

除了标化成绩外，芝加哥大学对于文书的质量及其看重。 招生官通过多篇补充文书来真正了解学生，选出合适的录取者。

除了主申请文书外，芝加哥大学还会让申请者提交有创意的补充文书。芝加哥大学的文书题目一向以独特著称，十分考验学生对于题目的理解能力，同时也可以从侧面反映出申请者的真实性格，让学生们可以说是有爱又恨。

弗吉尼亚大学(UVA)更新补充文书要求

难度升级

随着新一轮申请季的到来，弗吉尼亚大学也公布了2023 年的补充文书题目。弗吉尼亚大学USNEWS排名25， 是八所“公立常春藤”之一，同时也是25所“新常春藤”的成员。近年来受到越来越多中国学生的欢迎。

在每年的申请季开始前，弗吉尼亚大学都会更新政策变化，在今年的更新中，发现补充文书的内容发生明显变化，且难度有所提升。

今年补充文书题目：

1. 文理学院

If you could create a college course that all UVA students would take, what would it be about and why?

2、工程学院

How will you use an engineering degree to change the world for the better?

3、护理学院

Describe a health care-related experience or another significant interaction that deepened your interest in studying Nursing.

4、建筑学院

变化1：文书单词数量由往年的250个单词，变为用100个单词回答。申请者需用更少的文字提现更多的内容，挑战升级。

变化2:第二题附加文书题目数量友6道增加到10道，申请者去年选择一题变为选择两道题回答，字数减少为每道50个单词。
