Grade Point Average (GPA)
Vocabulary of Studying in the U.S.:
Grade Point Average/GPA. One factor that colleges and universities consider when deciding who to admit is a student's GPA. You probably know that we've traditionally used letter grades to assess students in the United States. These include an "A" grade for those who do very well. "B" and "C" grades are for those who do good to average. Those who get a "D" or "F" grade typically do not pass the course. These grades are translated into numbers, which make up a GPA. For example, A=4 points, B=3 points, etc. The GPA is calculated by averaging all the points a student has earned. The highest grade point average is 4.0, and is for students who receive all A grades. This system may sound complicated.

Grade Point Average/GPA(平均成绩/绩点)。
